Avoid tan coloured post war French zeltbahns, they are just that. Standard splinter was the issue. French shelter sections were used by the Germans, but they were not issue and were square/rectangular and more brown than tan.

DAK clothing should be olive not tan yes. LW trousers would be ok if worn with Heer tunic/shirt & headgear but LW caps should be avoided really. HBTs would be ok if you're on a budget but again should be used sparingly.

DAK clothing should be olive not tan yes.

Does that go for cotton undershirts too?

So donÒ€ℒt think I marched there for this reason Γ’β‚¬β€œ it could carry another name Γ’β‚¬β€œ but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take Γ’β‚¬β€œ and you know Γ’β‚¬β€œ we are very modest, we have it already."

We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."

Yes the issue shirt was olive and meant to be worn with a tan tie, a practice that had long been abandoned by 1943. I'll probably be wearing a Brit KD shirt though.

While having a lurk on the Pssst forum, I found a tip to change the colour of the very sand DAK webbing that seems to be the norm to a more acceptable colour. Dylon olive green dye. Its apparently spot on for the olive green webbing used by the Korp. Now I haven't tried it myself but once I find some I'm going to test it out. stand by for results. :good:

Though I am not the expert as far as i am aware the answers are no, no, yes and yes. Though for our purposes any boots would be sufficient. :good:

The experts will surely arrive soon.

Yes they had gaiters, although there use was something of a matter of personal choice. Jackboots were sometimes seen but usually only worn by officers. Standard low boots were used as well as tropical versions. Yes the £60 uniforms are acceptable. They may not be 100% correct but they're pretty good for the money.

The correct undershirt is the olive M40/M41.

did the dak use gaiters? did they use jackboots at all? or only tropical boots? are those 60quid chinese dak uniforms acceptable?
cheers
james

Hehe James - you sneaking over to the dark side for this one? (Or should that be the DAK side?  )

Normal low boots, with or without gaiters is fine. The Chinese DAK uniforms are also fine. :good:
